Home of the historic Port Boca Grande Lighthouse, built in 1890 and now a museum. The Gulf beach has five parking areas and is a favorite for shelling, swimming, and spotting dolphins, manatees and nesting shorebirds.
Estero Island
The area’s busiest beach town: a long stretch of Gulf sand, plus the Matanzas Pass Preserve, the historic Mound House, and shops and restaurants around Times Square.
